Controversial music critic and singer Ziza Bafana has once again questioned Bebe Cool’s relevance in today’s music scene, claiming the veteran Gagamel boss can no longer compete at the highest level.
Ziza Bafana argued that age has caught up with Bebe Cool, making it hard for him to achieve the big musical ambitions he still chases. Instead, he advised the star to mentor young talents and build a legacy that will outlive him.
“Your voice cannot compete anymore. But you can raise new stars and pass on your experience,” Bafana said.
He also criticised Bebe Cool’s recent album Break The Chains, claiming the heavy investment would have had a bigger impact if used to develop fresh artists who could elevate Uganda’s music scene and Bebe Cool’s status in Africa.
Bafana didn’t hold back on Bebe Cool’s annual involvement in music rankings, asking why a veteran artist still competes in lists instead of focusing on creating a lasting, inspiring legacy.
“Bebe Cool, at your age, why are you chasing lists? Don’t you want to leave something that inspires the world to look at Uganda?” Bafana challenged.
