Zari Hassan’s Rift With In-Laws Over Late Husband’s Wealth Deepens

The rift between South African-based socialite Zari Hassan and the family of her late husband, Ivan Semwanga, has intensified.

The latest reports indicate that the conflict over Semwanga’s estate has escalated.

Semwanga, who passed away on May 25, 2017, left behind a substantial portfolio of businesses, including the prestigious Brooklyn City College in South Africa.

Their eldest son, Pinto, was named the official heir to Semwanga’s property, with Zari acting as the custodian and preparing her sons to manage the businesses.

However, Zari recently revealed that she is in a heated dispute with her in-laws regarding the management of Semwanga’s estate.

In a recent social media video, Zari expressed her frustration, accusing some of her in-laws of trying to seize control of the property from her.

She emphasized that both she and her children hold shares in all of Ivan Semwanga’s properties and accused her in-laws of greed, fraud, and failing in their responsibilities as family members.

According to Zari, these disagreements have caused her significant stress since her husband’s death.

In response, the Semwanga family has accused Zari Hassan of illegally selling some of the property and stealing from Ivan Semwanga while he was ill.

They allege that she mismanaged his assets and did not act in the best interest of his estate.

Zari has used this situation to stress the importance of having inheritance wills in place before one’s death. She also noted that May marked the seventh anniversary of Ivan Semwanga’s passing.

The late tycoon had three
Sons with Zari Hassan: Pinto, Raphael, and Quincy.
