Swangz Avenue singer Winnie Nwagi has finally spoken out about persistent rumors claiming she uses hard drugs before her stage performances.
The speculation reportedly began on TikTok, where a particular blogger alleged that Nwagi was using “ice,” attributing her noticeable weight loss to drug use.
Following a high-energy performance, Nwagi firmly denied the allegations, dismissing them as baseless and harmful.
She explained that such rumors are spread by individuals seeking attention at the expense of her reputation.
“When people see body changes, they don’t bother to research. Just for views, they sit in front of a camera and say damaging things.You can’t make such accusations about my brand.”, Winnie Nwagi said.
Renowned for her dynamic stage presence, Nwagi is often assumed to be under the influence during her performances. However, she clarified that she avoids alcohol entirely before going on stage, as it affects her voice and energy levels.
“I can’t perform while drunk it drains my energy and makes me struggle with my voice. I always go on stage completely sober,People think I drink or use substances, but that’s just my natural energy. I take my job seriously because my fans choose me for a reason.”,she explained.
