In spite of recent controversial events, Hon. Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba, leader of ‘The Democratic Alliance,’ has firmly declared that they will not sever ties with troubled singer Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin.
Speaking to the press, the former Leader of Opposition emphasized that he is committed to supporting Alien Skin through both challenges and successes, due to the strong alliance they have formed.
Mathias Mpuuga explained that their coalition includes a wide range of individuals with diverse backgrounds, and they are determined not to overlook talented youth like Alien Skin, who have long been marginalized by society and the current regime.
He pointed out that the incidents witnessed over the past weekend were clear evidence of the neglect these young people have suffered over the years.
“The actions of one of our allies, yes, we have many allies with different characters, but unfortunately, this is the situation we find ourselves in. As leaders, we cannot ignore these young people. These are talented individuals who have been sidelined by society. What happened over the weekend only confirms that neglect, and that is why they have chosen their own path.”,Mpuuga said.
He reassured the public that his movement will continue to stand by Alien Skin and others like him.
“We will not give up on them, including Mr. Mulwana,” Mpuuga affirmed.
The former opposition leader also highlighted that Alien Skin would not be the first individual to receive support from their movement. He proudly mentioned that many others, who once faced similar challenges, have now risen to prominent national positions.
Mathias Mpuuga reassured his Democratic Alliance members, stressing that supporting Alien Skin aligns with their broader mission and goals.
“We have a history of supporting people in similar situations, and many of them now occupy significant national offices. Alien Skin will not be the first to be rescued, so be assured, we won’t abandon him.”,he assured.
