Over the weekend, Saturday 1st June 2024, Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Norbert Mao and his customarily wedded wife Beatrice Kayanja tied the knot.
The pair walked down the aisle after being joined as husband and wife in holy matrimony and the marriage ceremony was held at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Gulu.
The couple began the process of legalizing their union earlier this year, and today marks the culmination of their journey with a wedding ceremony.
Norbert Mao and Beatrice initiated the proceedings with a traditional “Kukyala” ceremony and subsequent introduction in Wakiso a few weeks ago.
In the early hours of Friday morning, Mao’s family conducted a cultural ritual to bring Beatrice home following their introduction ceremony.
Yesterday, 1st June the beloved couple, surrounded by family ,friends, and well-wishers exchanged vows at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Gulu City , pleading to stand by each other through all of life’s trials and triumphs
Beatrice Kayanja, who has previously been married, is embracing this new chapter with Nobert Mao with open arms. Her grace and resilience have always been admired, and this next step is seen as a beautiful new beginning. Friends and family are thrilled to see her find happiness again.
