Ugandan singer Patrick Mulwana, better known as Alien Skin, was denied bail and returned to Luzira Prison on remand after appearing in Makindye Court this morning.

The 30-year-old, along with his bodyguard, Julius Mugabi (also known as Julio), faced charges of assault and theft.

Alien Skin was arrested last Tuesday for allegedly assaulting medical staff at Nsambya Hospital following the death of one of his gang members.

In addition to this, he is also accused of assaulting and robbing Salim Mubiru of money and an iPhone 15 Pro at H&M Restaurant in Makindye back in September.

During today’s hearing, Alien Skin pleaded not guilty to all charges. However, Judge Esther Adikin decided to keep him in custody until November 28, citing ongoing efforts for reconciliation between the involved parties.

“Since the parties want to reconcile, I wouldn’t consider bail at this time,” she stated before setting the next court date.

Alien Skin was subsequently escorted back to prison in a police vehicle. Despite the setbacks, his fans and fellow artists remain hopeful for his early release and continue to call for his freedom.
