Renowned Ugandan singer Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool has finally broken his silence on the arrest of TikTok sensation Luwi Light, revealing that he has forgiven the outspoken content creator and that her release from Luzira Prison is now imminent.
Luwi Light light was recently arrested and charged with misinformation and hate speech, following controversial online posts that sparked public backlash. She was later remanded to Luzira Prison after failing to meet bail conditions during her appearance at the City Hall Court in Kampala.

The TikTok star was expected to return to court on 2 February 2026 as investigations continued but new developments suggest her time behind bars may soon come to an end.
Speaking during a phone interview with popular YouTuber Kasuku, the Gagamel boss confirmed that he has pardoned Luwilight, saying the young creator deserves a second chance to rebuild her character and use her platform responsibly.
“I have forgiven her. She’s young and talented. She should learn from this and come back stronger,” Bebe Cool said.

The singer, who is also a father, explained that online disrespect not only affects public figures but also impacts their families.
“I have a grown daughter at home. When people insult you online, it reflects on your children too,” he added.
The “Kasepiki” singer also issued a broader warning to social media users, urging content creators to respect others online regardless of political views, reminding them that there is life beyond politics and internet clout.
Luwi Light’s expected release has already sparked excitement among her loyal fanbase, who have been rallying behind her since her arrest.

Whether this marks a new chapter for the embattled TikTok star remains to be seen but for now, forgiveness has opened the door to freedom.
