Renowned Ugandan socialite, media personality, and influencer Sheilah Gashumba has publicly expressed her disappointment with leading fuel companies Shell and Total Energies over what she described as poor night services at their stations.
Taking to her official X (formerly Twitter) account, Sheilah narrated her frustrating experience after two failed attempts to refuel her car at night.

She revealed that while returning from Sundiate Beach after a DJ gig, she stopped at two fuel stations in Kajjansi, but to her shock, found both completely deserted with attendants and even security guards deep asleep.
“I pity people who buy Shell and Total franchises in Uganda because the people that work for you at these petrol stations are busy sleeping both attendants and askaris. Mostly the ones out of Kampala. Imagine investing in such a business and your workers are not bothered even when you try to wake them up. Olemwa!” Sheilah lamented.

Her remarks have since sparked massive reactions online, with many Ugandans backing her claims and sharing similar experiences of being denied service at night by sleeping attendants at various fuel stations.
As of now, Shell Uganda and Total Energies Uganda have not yet issued any official statement regarding the matter.
