Singer Derrick Ddungu popularly known as Rickman Manrick, has secured a new role at NRG Radio Uganda.
The artist will be co-hosting a sports show dubbed “NRG Offside,” airing every Saturday morning alongside Winnie Mbabazi nd DJ Dread Lazer.
Winnie Mbabazi, who recently parted ways with Galaxy FM, and DJ Dread Lazer were officially unveiled alongside Rickman during NRG Radio Uganda’s sports day in a surprise proposal stunt, marking their welcome to the station.
Rickman Manrick is a multi-talented individual with a diverse career journey. Before fully committing to music, he was a professional footballer. However, his sports career was cut short due to a serious injury.
At the time, music was just a hobby, but he later decided to pursue it as a full-time career, achieving significant success.
In addition to his music career, Rickman has also ventured into acting. Last year, he expressed his passion for acting and even landed a role in a film, an opportunity he is excited about and eager to explore further.
Given his background in sports, Rickman’s insights on the “NRG Offside” show will add great value.
