Ugandan comedian Patrick Salvador has revealed that his once-close friendship with opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has significantly deteriorated.
According to Salvador, the rift began after he accepted an invitation to meet with President Yoweri Museveni at State House.
Since then, Bobi Wine has allegedly stopped responding to his calls and messages.
The comedian, who had previously been a vocal supporter of Bobi Wine, later shifted his public stance endorsing Muhoozi Kainerugaba and hosting events for leaders from the ruling NRM party.

“Our relationship hasn’t been the same since I met the President, and I understand why,” Bobi no longer picks my calls or replies to my messages. His fans were the first to express their anger on social media, even before he distanced himself from me.”,Salvador Said.
Despite the fallout, Salvador says he still maintains friendships within Bobi Wine’s National Unity Platform (NUP), including with Dan Magic and Godfrey Luyombya.
