After three years of collaboration, singer Shamim Mulerwa, known as Omega 256, has parted ways with Diagram Evolution, according to an official statement from the record label.

During their partnership, Omega 256 experienced significant growth in her music career. However, this working relationship has now come to an end.

In a statement released by Diagram Evolution this week, it was confirmed that both Omega 256 and her manager, Nash Weiz, are no longer associated with the label.

The statement cited “irreconcilable financial issues” as the reason for the mutual termination of the contract, although specific details of the dispute remain undisclosed.

Omega 256’s musical journey began in 2017, during her Senior Four vacation, when she discovered her passion for music. She frequently visited producer Drizzy’s Sound Africa Records studio, where her interest in the industry deepened. Drizzy encouraged her to create a sample, leading her to cover Rema’s “Juice Wa Mango” and a Justin Bieber song. Impressed by her potential, Drizzy wrote her first original song, “Otabula,” which became her debut single.

After releasing “Otabula,” Drizzy signed Omega 256 as an artist under his wing. However, tension arose between her and her parents, leading her to move in with Drizzy. They worked on several songs together, including “Toora,” which garnered some attention. After a year of working with Drizzy, Omega 256 decided to move on from the collaboration.
