Famous Muslim Scholar and Grand Mufti of Zimbabwe, Ismail ibn Musa alias Mufti Menk has arrived in Uganda a head of a two- day visit.

Menk who arrived in the country on Thursday evening and was received at Entebbe international Airport by Next Media services CEO Kin Kariisa and Dr. Amb Ssemuddus.

On his arrival today he shared some good moments with some Muslim Scholars and other dignitaries at Dr Amb . Ssemuddu’s residence in Bwerenga.

Menk is expected for an open event at Makerere University grounds on the 8th March 2024 , where he will lead the Juma prayers and on 9th March will be hosted at Serena Hotel , Kampala for a corporate dinner from 5Pm to 10Pm.

This is Menk’s third visit in Uganda .He last came to country in March 2021 with aim of laying the foundation stone of Musa Islamic Center and the charity iftar and also had to meet president Museveni.

Who is Mufti Menk?

Ismail ibn Musa Menk well known as Mufti Menk is a Muslim cleric and Grand Mufti of Zimbabwe He is also the director of Daarul ilm (Islamic Educational Canter) of the Majlisul Ulama an Islamic welfare organisation which caters to the needs of the Muslim population of Zimbabwe, especially in Islamic education.

He has a following of over 500 million followers globally and his am inspirational dream to the youth and different religion around the globe

Mufti Menk’s personal and down to earth personality in his lectures has made him one of the most sought after Islamic scholars in recent times. His lecture series are widely watched on YouTube and other social media platforms and have quickly gained attention and popularity across the globe.

In 2014 and 2017, Mufti Menk was named one of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre of Jordan.
