Common Man’s Party (CMP) presidential candidate Mubarack Munyagwa has accused the National Unity Platform (NUP) Presidential Candidate Robert Kyaguanyi alias Bobi Wine of recycling the same supporters at his rallies to create an illusion of massive popularity.

Speaking on NBS Television’s Morning Breeze show on Tuesday, Munyagwa claimed that Bobi Wine , travels with a fixed team of supporters who appear at every regional rally under the guise of being local residents.

“Wherever Bobi Wine goes, you see the same faces pretending to be local supporters. That’s not organic mobilization. Our approach is different we hold smaller rallies that attract genuine residents from the area, not imported crowds.” he said

He explained that his campaign strategy emphasizes grassroots engagement and direct interaction with communities through intimate gatherings that allow him to “connect personally with voters and assess authentic local support.”

He comments come as opposition competition heats up ahead of the 2026 general elections, with new political parties seeking to challenge both the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) and NUP for influence.

Known for his blunt rhetoric, Munyagwa said the Common Man’s Party will prioritize issues such as unemployment, corruption, and inequality positioning itself as the “true voice of the ordinary Ugandan.”
