Singer Mikie Wine has broken his silence about a recent confrontation with a promoter during a weekend concert in Busula, Luwero.
The artist revealed that a local DJ had advertised him as a performer for the event without his knowledge or consent.
Upon discovering the unauthorized promotion, Mikie Wine and his team considered publicly denouncing the event on social media.
This move prompted the organizer to urgently meet with the singer in person. After a candid discussion, Mikie decided to forgive the promoter but emphasized the importance of following proper booking procedures before advertising any artist.
Although the matter initially seemed resolved, further issues emerged in the days leading up to the concert.
“Zuena ” singer claims the organizer became unreachable, ignoring calls from his team and only reappearing on the day of the show.
The lack of communication led to confusion and disarray at the event. Mikie Wine expressed his disappointment with how the situation was handled, calling on event organizers to respect artists and uphold professionalism when planning shows.
