Musician Mesach Semakula has successfully brought together Stecia Mayanja and Maureen Nantume, two former members of the Golden Band Production band, ending years of rivalry and public tension.
The long-awaited reconciliation took place over the weekend during Stecia Mayanja’s concert at the Serena Hotel in Kampala, where Maureen Nantume made a surprise appearance in a show of support.
Speaking after the event, Mayanja shared that Nantume approached her warmly, expressing genuine affection and offering a heartfelt apology.
“Maureen hugged me tightly I could feel her sincerity. She admitted her mistakes, apologized, and we are friends again. I’ve never held anything against her,” Mayanja said.
The rift between the two singers had been fueled by long-standing rumors, including allegations of witchcraft.
It had been claimed that Stecia Mayanja bewitched Maureen Nantume, an accusation allegedly supported by singer Carol Nantogo, who claimed she was also a victim and had been told as much by Nantume.
With this emotional reunion, fans are hopeful the two artists can put the past behind them and move forward on good terms.
