Popular Ugandan musician Ronald Magada, better known by his stage name Maro, was recently involved in a serious road accident in Zambia during the Easter holiday.
According to close sources, the accident occurred while Maro was traveling to fulfill work commitments. Although he escaped with minor injuries, the crash left three of his companions hospitalized in critical condition.
A close aide to the singer confirmed the incident in a phone call, revealing that Maro was in the vehicle with three friends at the time.
One of the passengers, a woman and wife to one of his friends, sustained severe injuries and had to be airlifted to a hospital, where doctors diagnosed her with a cracked spinal cord.
While Maro did not suffer major physical harm, he is said to be emotionally shaken by the ordeal. The vehicle involved was completely destroyed, and the singer is now working with local authorities regarding the incident.
The same source dismissed rumors claiming he was in a coma, emphasizing that he is conscious and steadily recovering from the traumatic experience.
