Veteran Ugandan dancehall artist Maria Gladys Namuleme, popularly known as Margla Da Raggamuffin Gyal, is mourning the death of Mathew Nakabale Mukasa, also known as Matayo the father of her eldest daughter, Elsie Matthew.
Taking to social media on Thursday, Margla Da Raggamuffin Gyal poured out her grief in a heartfelt tribute, expressing the deep pain she and her daughter are experiencing.
“I am heartbroken to share that the father of my daughter, Elsie Matthew, has passed away. My heart aches for him, for the moments we shared, and for the family he loved so deeply. Mathew loved us unconditionally he even loved my mother deeply until her passing.
To our daughter, he was a father who loved her in his own way. I hope we can carry his memory in the love we continue to share.
To his friends, he was a caring, loving soul.
Rest in peace, Mathew. You will always be remembered.

Fans and fellow artists have since shared their condolences, offering support to the grieving singer.
According to the funeral program, Mathew, who was regarded as one of Uganda’s top European car programmers, will be laid to rest on Sunday, 30th August, in Ssingo, Nakwaya, along Homia Road.
