Talent manager Joel Promotions has issued a heartfelt appeal for assistance in securing rehabilitation for Ugandan artist Ronald Alimpa, whose recent behavior has sparked concern among fans and industry stakeholders.
In March of last year, Ronald Alimpa introduced Joel as his new manager during a press conference with journalists. However, in a recent interview, the singer shockingly denied ever knowing or working with him.
Responding to the denial on the same platform, Joel recounted how he took Alimpa under his wing during a difficult period when the music industry had seemingly turned its back on him.
He claims to have supported the artist’s comeback, only for Alimpa to later distance himself and fall into bad company.
“He ran away from me and is now living with someone named Ganja ,When he recently appeared on TV, he was clearly intoxicated. He’s in a terrible state and urgently needs help before something worse happens.”Joel said.

Joel is now calling on Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) president Eddy Kenzo and other stakeholders to intervene and help get Alimpa into a rehabilitation facility.
“He’s not okay. This is someone with hit songs—he shouldn’t be in such a condition. I’m ready to work with anyone who can help get him back on track.”Joel emphasized
Alimpa rose to fame with his breakout hit Seen Don, which once placed him at the top of Uganda’s music scene. However, his career trajectory shifted following a tragic car accident that left him injured and claimed the lives of his fellow artists.
The incident reportedly led to a decline in his mental health and increased substance use, as seen in various viral videos on social media.
Despite his struggles, Joel and others remain hopeful that with proper care and support, Ronald Alimpa can overcome his challenges and revive his career.
