Kapeke in Trouble Over Alleged Theft and Property Damage

Musician Kapeke has been served with a Notice of Intention to Sue by events promoter and media personality  Ssemwogerere Ivan, also known as Sixteen Promotions, accusing him of theft and malicious damage to property.

According to Sixteen, Kapeke and fellow artist Karole Kasita were booked to perform at a school event, with the show scheduled for 4 PM. Despite receiving full payment in advance, Kapeke reportedly arrived nearly three hours late, showing up around 7 PM.

When Sixteen confronted him about the delay, Kapeke’s entourage allegedly surrounded him aggressively, questioning why he was addressing their artist.

Moments later, the ‘Shuu’ hitmaker is said to have performed for less than five minutes before abruptly leaving the stage and fleeing to his car, leaving disappointed students behind.

“In the chaos, his gang stole my money and waited for me outside the school. They assaulted me near Bombo market and damaged my car, smashing the windshield, I couldn’t fight back because they outnumbered me.”Sixteen claimed.

Sixteen says Kapeke initially apologized and promised to compensate him after an upcoming show in Kigo, but later stopped answering calls and switched off his phone.

Legal documents seen by our website from Meliora Advocates, acting on behalf of Sixteen, demand a formal apology from Kapeke either in person or through legal representatives and compensation for the alleged damages. The letter warns that if Kapeke fails to respond within seven days, legal proceedings will commence.

“We will be left with no choice but to take this to court,” reads part of the notice. And believe us, the judges won’t take lightly a case involving betrayal, theft, and property destruction.

The incident has been reported at Bombo Police Station under case reference number 53/19/07/2025, categorized as theft and malicious damage.
