Latest information reaching our website indicate that Kabaka Mutebi of Buganda, is currently admitted at Okonguarri Psychotherapeutic center, a private mental health facility in Namibia.
This was disclosed by Namibia’s ambassador to Germany , Martin Andjaba in response to letter from concerned Ugandan citizen following reports that Kabaka Mutebi was being held in Namibia.
The ambassador in his reply noted that Kabaka Mutebi is not being detained in Namibia as it is alleged but he is in Namibia for medical reasons.
” He arrived in the country in April 2024 for treatment and is currently at Okonguarri Psychotherapeutic center in the Outjo area in the Kunene Region”, ambassador confirmed.
It is claimed that he has spent 55 days at this private health facility, having been in and out of hospitals in Europe.
He traveled to Namibia in April and has since then been Undergoing treatment for his aliments.
It is not clear what kind of disorder the Kabaka is suffering from but according to the facility’s website ,it offers personalised treatment sessions for those suffering from depressive disorders , anxiety – related disorders , Personality dysfunctions, stomatoform disorders ,PTSD.
Mutebi’s illness has been fodder for bloggers with some accusing Prime Minister Peter Mayiga of “hiding the King from his people.”

Peter Mayiga has since refused to disclose the Kabaka’s whereabouts and illness on privacy grounds.
