Ugandan singer Jowy Landa, born Joan Namugerwa, has announced the heartbreaking passing of her elder brother Martin.
He succumbed to his injuries after a prolonged stay in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), following a brutal assault by unidentified attackers last year.
The tragic incident occurred in September 2024, when Jowy’s brother was involved in a violent altercation with unknown individuals who severely beat him, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to the hospital and remained in intensive care until his death.
Throughout his hospitalization, Jowy openly shared the financial struggles her family faced in covering medical expenses.
She appealed for help, notably seeking assistance from Gen. Salim Saleh (Caleb Akandwanaho), to support her brother’s treatment.
Until now, details about his condition had remained limited. On Tuesday, Jowy took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to share the devastating news with her followers, requesting their prayers and support during this painful time.
