The divorce proceedings between Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone and his wife, Daniella Atim, have been postponed to September 2025.
The delay follows the couple’s failure to reach an agreement on key issues, including property division, child custody, and financial support.
Daniella is reportedly seeking full ownership of their Seguku residence, along with sustained financial support for their children.
Back in March, reports emerged that Daniella had officially filed for divorce at the Family Division of the Magistrate’s Court in Kampala. She cited years of emotional abandonment, neglect, and lack of support as the basis for her petition. It’s believed that Jose Chameleone has since accepted the decision to separate.
Daniella also publicly shared her struggles with depression during the marriage, claiming that Jose Chameleone had been largely absent for the past five years, leaving her to raise their children on her own.

Responding to the ongoing legal battle, Jose Chameleone said his primary concern is the welfare of their children.
He emphasized that the assets in question are not for personal benefit but are ultimately meant to support their children’s future.
“These things we are fighting for are for the children, not ourselves. Even the children will eventually leave them behind, and others will come to occupy them.”,Chameleone stated.
He also expressed frustration with the legal proceedings, likening them to preparing a will while still alive.
Despite increasing public interest in the case, Chameleone appears focused on steering attention back to his music and career, choosing to remain relatively private about the matter.
