Renowned Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone was initially slated to perform at the much-anticipated Coffee Marathon concert which was held in Ntungamo District, Western Uganda last week.
However, just days before the event, the artist took to social media to announce his withdrawal. A statement posted on his official channels read.

“Jose Chameleone will not attend this marathon as previously announced, but will be in Ntungamo on another date that will be announced in the future., Management.”
While the announcement was vague, fellow musician Eddy Kenzo has since shed light on the real reason behind Chameleone’s no-show.
According to Kenzo, the decision stemmed from a disagreement over compensation.
“They offered him a very small amount, Chameleone declined because he felt the terms were unfair. That’s why he pulled out.” Kenzo said.
Kenzo, who leads the Big Talent crew, also disclosed that he had pushed for the inclusion of other artists such as Ray G and Truth 256 in the performance lineup.
