Gospel singer Baby Gloria recently shared some of the fears she had growing up especially when it came to relationships and her approach to love.
She opened up after her engagement photos with her fiancé, Jonas Rayme Mbaleka, reportedly leaked online due to a scheduling error.
In a media interview, Gloria spoke about her lifelong commitment to maintaining purity before marriage. She expressed gratitude for having found a loving, respectful, and caring partner who shares her values and follows the teachings of the Bible.
she revealed that Jonas is her first love and that their relationship has always been guided by Christian principles, and they have committed to holding off on deepening their romantic bond until after marriage.
Gloria also explained that even after their engagement, they maintained boundaries, staying in separate rooms during their trips together. While they are affectionate, they have never been physically intimate in any way that goes beyond what is appropriate for a couple awaiting marriage.
She also spoke about the pressure of growing up in the public eye and the fears she had about finding a trustworthy partner who would respect her values.
“My biggest fear was always about doing anything before marriage, and he has respected that, as he is also a Born Again Christian. Jonas is my first boyfriend, and I’m so thankful that despite the challenges of growing up in the spotlight, I was able to find someone who truly values and respects me.”,she shared.
Reflecting on their relationship, she added, “I thank God that I didn’t have to meet people who would cause trouble in my life. We have been intimate, but never entangled, even on our trip—he made sure we stayed in separate rooms.”
