Celebrated Ugandan actor, John Ssegawa has no kind word for media personality Douglas Lwanga for undermining the Uganda Movie Industry during one of his TV shows.
Expressing his dismay, Ssegawa criticized Lwanga’s remarks about the viewership of Ugandan movies, questioning why such a seasoned entertainment host would pose such questions on a national TV station like NBS TV.
During one of his TV Shows , Douglas Lwanga posed a question on whether Ugandans really do watch Movies produced and directed by Ugandan actors and actresses
Ssegawa, who wears multiple hats as a director, stage manager, and actor at Afri-Talent Drama Group, pointed out Lwanga’s extensive experience in presenting entertainment shows, highlighting his role in promoting Ugandan music videos, which he considers a form of movies because music video are also directed like movies
Emphasizing the industry’s investment in training local actors and actresses, Ssegawa cautioned Lwanga and his likes against undermining and disrespecting the hard work put into the success of the Uganda Movie Industry.
