James Niwamanya, has resigned as Head of Human Resource Management at Electoral Commission (EC).
This announcement was made on Friday 15th March 2024, in a letter addressed to Electoral Commission sectary,Leonard Mulekwah.
In the one page letter, Niwamanya who has been Head, Human Resource Management for the past fifteen years cites personal reasons and a desire for inner peace that prompted his decision to quit.
Niwamanya’s decision to step down came amid an internal investigation into accusations leveled against him, suggesting that he has allegedly been harassing female junior staff.
The unfolding saga began with reports surfacing within the Electoral Commission, alleging instances of sexual harassment involving Niwamanya.
