Singer Fille Mutoni has firmly rejected claims that she has reconciled with her ex-fiancé and father of her child, Edwin Katamba, aka MC Kats. She asserts that she is currently single and not looking for a relationship.
Earlier this year, Fille completed a six-month rehabilitation program to overcome a long battle with drug addiction, specifically to ice (crystal meth) and crack cocaine, substances that have taken a heavy toll on her physical and mental health over the past seven years.
Throughout her recovery journey, MC Kats remained a constant support, updating the public on her progress. This, coupled with their close involvement in her music career, led many to speculate about a possible reconciliation between the two.
However, during a recent event with fellow entertainers like Eddy Kenzo, Allan Toniks, Ann Kansiime, and Lilian Mbabazi, Fille made it clear that she is focusing on her healing journey and has no interest in pursuing a relationship at this time.
“I’m single and not searching at all. I’m at peace and learning how to love myself again,” she explained. “You can’t pour from an empty cup. You must fill your own cup before you can give to others.”
Fille expressed her gratitude for finding inner peace and self-love, emphasizing that she is committed to her personal healing process.
“This is the first time I’m attending something like this, and I feel honored to be a part of it because it’s all about healing, restoration, and recovery,” she added.
Fille made these remarks during the Ekyooto series, a mental health initiative by the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) in partnership with Reach A Hand Uganda and MindBus.
The series aims to provide a safe space for musicians and creatives to discuss mental health issues, explore their underlying causes, and seek potential solutions.
