Veteran Ugandan rapper Navio, born Daniel Lubwama Kigozi, says he’s long moved past the need to convince anyone of his dominance in the hip-hop scene.
During an appearance on Bruno K’s live show Ekiboozi, Navio was asked to weigh in on who holds the crown in Ugandan hip-hop between himself, Babaluku, and GNL Zamba.
Without hesitation, the Navcorp boss claimed the title, asserting that his accomplishments speak volumes more than words ever could.
“I’ve hit milestones that most rappers haven’t even come close to, “I’ve performed in 46 countries, won over 60 awards, and built a solid fanbase one that’s real, not bought through bots.”,Navio stated.
He emphasized that his career has been grounded in both talent and results. From underground battle circuits across Africa to international stages, Navio has steadily built a legacy.

“It’s not in my nature to go around telling people I’m the king of hip-hop. It’s in the stats, in the shows, in the consistency. I’ve been tested, and I’ve delivered—over and over.”,he said .
Navio also spoke about his achievements beyond music, revealing that in the past year alone, he invested in real estate, constructing 50 apartments further testament to his success and growth.
“At this stage, trying to prove myself feels strange. I’m past that. I don’t measure people by what they claim, but by what they actually do,” he noted.
The rapper also addressed the frequent disses aimed at him by fellow artists, saying he pays them little mind.
“Some of these guys haven’t even been booked in Entebbe, yet they’re talking about me. I’ve performed at over 60 shows this year, signed to top global streaming platforms, and travelled the world doing what I love. They can’t match that.”,he said.
Known for his calm demeanor, Navio made it clear that he’s focused on his craft, legacy, and continued success—leaving the back-and-forth for those still trying to prove themselves.
