Although Eddy Kenzo and Bebe Cool appeared to have reconciled after years of tension, recent comments suggest their relationship remains strained.

While appearing on the Talk and Talk show with Kasuku, Bebe Cool downplayed Kenzo’s international success, claiming he isn’t a global artist.

He challenged listeners to name more than one of Kenzo’s songs with global appeal apart from the viral hit Sitya Loss. The remark sparked debate online, with many interpreting it as a subtle jab from the Gagamel boss toward the Big Talent founder.

When asked about Bebe Cool’s comments during an interview with Sanyuka TV, Kenzo offered a calm response.

“That’s his opinion, and it’s not my place to correct him,he can be right in his ignorance, and I’m totally okay with it. But we all know the reality and what’s on the ground.”,he said.

Kenzo, often regarded as one of Uganda’s most successful musical exports, has received international acclaim.

He has won prestigious awards including a BET Award and a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award, and he holds the distinction of being the first Ugandan artist to receive a Grammy nomination.

The two artists had not been on speaking terms for nearly a decade, a rift partially fueled by Eddy Kenzo’s ties to Bebe Cool’s longtime rival, Bobi Wine. Their feud was further intensified when Kenzo began a relationship with singer Rema Namakula, who had been part of Bebe Cool’s Gagamel crew and was being positioned as the next big star under his wing.

Despite attempts to mend fences, their latest exchange suggests that deep-rooted tensions still linger.
