Singer Grace Namuwulya alias Grace Khan, could face arrest for failing to show up for a performance on Valentine’s Day in Bukomansimbi, despite receiving her performance fees in advance.
Reports indicate that she was booked for the show on January 26th, following her performance at one of King Saha’s events in Maria Flo, Masaka.
During that time, she and the promoter agreed on an undisclosed payment, with half of the agreed sum paid upfront, and everything appeared to be in order.
On the day of the show, she requested the remaining balance, which was transferred to her via mobile money during the day. However, as the event approached, her phone became unreachable.
Despite the promoter’s multiple attempts, including over 30 phone calls, she could not be contacted.
It wasn’t until late into the night, approaching midnight, that the promoter received a message from the singer, explaining that she was unable to attend the show due to being intoxicated.
