Fast-rising Ugandan singer Gloria Busingye, popularly known as Gloria Bugie, is turning heads not just with her looks, but with the emotional depth of her voice.
Known for hit songs like Tequiero and Panama among others, Bugie says her performances often leave fans in tears.
Speaking to the media after her recent appearance at Comedy Store, the “Panama” hit maker reflected on her growing popularity and demanding schedule.
“I’m currently one of the most overbooked singers. I even have to turn down some shows because it’s just too much. Fans have been incredibly supportive. Every time I release a song, the response is amazing and during performances, some even cry. It’s really touching,” she shared.
With less than two years in the spotlight, Bugie has quickly become one of Uganda’s most sought-after performers. Her blend of emotional delivery and catchy melodies has earned her a loyal fan base and widespread acclaim.
Addressing circulating rumors about undergoing cosmetic enhancements like a BBL or lip surgery, Bugie dismissed the claims.
“I see the rumors too, but they’re not true. I’ve always had this body. People just like to talk,” she said.
When asked about her love life, the singer revealed she’s still single and focusing on her career, though she did share what she looks for in a potential partner.
“I’m still young and I’m turning 20 this month. But when the time comes, I’d want someone tall, handsome, and of course, financially stable,” she said with a smile.
As one of the most talked-about female artists in the country, Bugie’s growing fame is matched by public curiosity about her evolving appearance a topic that has stirred conversations online. However, she attributes her transformation to natural growth and maturity.
