Songwriter and vocalist Hassan Kigozi, popularly known as Geosteady, has reportedly been admitted to a rehabilitation facility, according to sources from The Dailyspearug.
It is believed that on Thursday evening, he was taken to an undisclosed location for treatment after exhibiting unusual behavior.
Insiders claim that Geosteady has been struggling with an addiction to dangerous substances, including pills, powders, and crystal meth—a drug commonly associated with young adults and celebrities worldwide.
Reports suggest that his drug abuse has been ongoing for several months, contributing to the breakdown of his relationship with his girlfriend Hindu Kay, as well as the loss of several close friends who could no longer tolerate his behavior.
The situation came to a head a few weeks ago when Geosteady publicly denied the rumors of drug abuse, despite growing concerns from those close to him.
If confirmed, Geosteady would join a list of Ugandan celebrities like Jackie Chandiru, MC Kats, Qute Kaye, Fille Mutoni, and Pretty Glo, who have all sought rehabilitation for drug-related issues
