The Minister of State for Internal Affairs Gen David Rubakuba Muboozi has lost his mother, Edinance Kyomugyemo Rubakuba.
According to an official statement released regarding her passing, she breathed her last on Monday 1st April 2024 but cause of her death was undisclosed
Tentative burial arrangements indicates she’ll be buried on Thursday in Kakiika, Mbarara and church service will be held today April 3 at All Saints Cathedral at 9 A.M and friends and family also to pay their last respect to the fallen.
Several Ugandans took to social media to commiserate with Gen. Muhoozi, a former chief of defence forces and now the Minister of State for Internal Affairs.
Michael Katungi, the External Coordinator for the Patriotic League of Uganda, posted on X: “The Lord gives and the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the lord. Job1.21 Farewell Aunt Mukulu. You lived a full life.”
Abiaz Rwamwiri, the public relations manager at Uganda National Drugs Authority, said: “Pole sana. My condolences to you and your family.”
Speaker of Parlaiment Anita Annet Among said: “I send my sincere condolences to Hon. Gen. David Muhoozi and the larger family of Mzee Jackson Rubakuuba upon the passing of the family matriarch Mama Edinance Kyomugyemo Rubakuuba. May the Lord grant you the strength to endure the pains that come with such a big loss, and may her soul rest in peace.”
