The former prime Minister of Uganda, Patrick Amama Mbabazi and his wife Jacqueline Susan Ruhindi Mbabazi have celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Ealier today (Saturday 6th April 2024),the two renewed their marriage vows at All Saints Cathedral Nakasero and Ceremony was presided over by the Most Reverend Dr. Samuel Stephen Kaziimba.
The couple renewed their commitment to love each other and asked for forgiveness where they wronged each other.
The two thanked God for the fifty years in marriage saying this is a Journey they started as two people but they are now a family of 8.
The couple’s Golden Jubilee anniversary Ceremony was attended by close family members , Politician and religious.
Amama Mbabazi and Jacqueline love story started way be back in Secondary School when Jacqueline’s relative introduced her to the former Prime Minister.
In previous interview with Daily monitor, Jacqueline disclosed that she got married to Amama in 1974 when she was 18 inorder to protect herself from Idi Amin’s state Research operatives who had started abducting women from campus and seemed to have a preference for the light skinned ones.
