The late singer Evelyn Lagu’s charity themed ” Light a candle for Evelyn Love” has been cancelled.
The concert was scheduled for November 5th ,2023 at Papaz Spot in Mankidye.
But according to the new developments from the organising committee the concert has been called off.
The organising committee reasoned that the date agreed upon collided with another show for Aromatic Entertainment.
In turn which created a verbal altercation with Aromatic show, which made the organisers of Aromatic Entertainment show to conclude that Evelyn’s charity concert was intended at rivalling their show..
This altercation forced the chairman organising committee , Mesach SemKula to resolve by cancelling the concert to avoid conflicts within the industry.
He further pledged that anyone interested in supporting the cause should contact Late’s son Kasavu through his social media inbox or by phone.
It should be recalled before the passing on of fallen Evelyn Lagu, she was diligently organizing a philanthropic concert to commune with her fans before her passing, and generate financial resources to alleviate her medical expenses.
Unfortunately, Evelyn didn’t have the opportunity to witness her objective come to fruition, as she passed away a few days prior to the event.
The organizing committee for the charitable occasion, which included Mesach Semakula, Fifi Da Queen, Dianah Nabatanzi and other members, pledged to proceed with the event, with the proceeds intended to benefit the late singer’s son.
