Ray G, a Western-based singer, disclosed that Eddy Kenzo, the president of the Uganda Musicians Federation (UNMF), took the initiative to reconcile him with fellow artist Azawi.
The dispute between Ray G and Azawi originated from a performance order at a recent Comedy Store Ug event in Mbarara, causing tension between the two artists.
Recognizing the need for resolution, Kenzo intervened, playing a crucial role in facilitating an amicable solution to the disagreement. Conducting a thorough investigation, he communicated with both Ray G and Azawi, urging them to set aside their differences.
Kenzo’s influential position in the music industry and adept mediation skills played a pivotal role in bringing about the reconciliation between the two artists.
The successful resolution occurred as Ray G and Azawi met face-to-face, ending their misunderstandings in a friendly manner.
In an interview with Sanyuka TV, Ray G expressed gratitude to Eddy Kenzo for his instrumental role in establishing peace.
He clarified that his disagreement was not personal with Azawi but rather centered around flaws within the music industry’s system.
Ray G emphasized the importance of better protocols for event organization and artist management to prevent similar disputes in the future.
Despite his frustrations, he acknowledged that Azawi was not to blame for the situation but criticized Azawi’s social media handler for mishandling the situation and issuing an unnecessary statement, which he believed escalated tensions further.
