Renowned musician Eddy Kenzo has addressed questions surrounding the limited public appearances he makes with his wife, Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro.
The Big Talent boss, who has been spotted at several public events including the recent golden jubilee celebration of Halimah Namakula was asked during an interview with Sanyuka TV why his wife was not in attendance.
In response, Kenzo firmly stated that his wife is not meant to be paraded around for public validation.
“My wife is not for show. She’s not someone I’m supposed to take everywhere just to be seen. We attend events together when it makes sense to do so, and if I need to attend alone, I go alone. I’m not here to show off or prove anything to anyone,” he explained.
Kenzo also commented on a recent viral video showing him carrying Hon. Nyamutoro on his back. He clarified that the footage was recorded by a close friend who later shared it on social media, causing it to circulate widely.
The couple went public with their relationship in 2023 and later held a private Kukyala ceremony. They have plans to formalize their union with a wedding in the near future.
