The president of Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) and Big Talent boss, Edrisah Musuuza alias Eddy Kenzo has spoken out on why he didn’t turn up for recently concluded Rema Namakula’s “Melodies of love” concert at Sheraton Hotel Kampala Gardens.
On 24th February 2024, Rema Namakula made history in the Uganda Music industry when she held successful concert at Sheraton Hotel Kampala Gardens that will live on in the memories of revellers for decades
“Juice wa Mango” singer recieved massive support from different dignitaries in the country and several fellow artist who were in attendance to witness the unforgettable experience.
However,Eddy Kenzo who is the President for UNMF and also doubles as Rema’s ex- baby daddy was no where to be seen despite extended his support towards the concert via his Socials on the last day.
Speaking in an interview with local television, Eddy Kenzo explained that he couldn’t attend her ex- lover concert because he never wanted to Sabotage it because at the end of the day is among the beneficiaries.
He stressed that before he makes any decision,he always first think twice before he act .That it was going to make sense for him to attend Rema’s show physically because media and people would have to put all the cameras and focus on him , forgetting the main aim of the show and start relating him to things.
He further clarified that he indirectly in full support with her citing that he watched the full concert on TV since it was live broadcasting on a numbers of TV stations in the country.
“I always think twice before I act, I don’t think it would have made sense for me to attend REMA’s show physically, for people to put all the cameras and attention on me forgetting the main aim of the show, to start relating me to things, I didn’t want to sabotage her show because at the end of the day, I’m a beneficiary ” Eddy Kenzo disclosed while appearing for an exclusive interview on Galaxy TV.
Kenzo and Namakula dramatically ended their relationship in 2019 when she started dating Dr Hamza Sebunya, who was still a medical student at Makerere University.
The breakup hurt the Eddy Kenzo so much that it even showed through his uncoordinated social media rants that made him sound deranged.
Eddy Kenzo and Rema Namakula stayed together for about six years and they have a daughter named Aamal Musuuza
