Renowned Ugandan artist Eddy Kenzo has finally spoken out regarding rumors of a fallout between him and fellow singer Azawi.
In a detailed statement, Kenzo shared that he had proposed a public conversation with Azawi either live on television or in the presence of witnesses as a way to openly address their differences.
“I suggested a public discussion on TV or before witnesses so we could understand each other clearly,” Kenzo explained, emphasizing his commitment to transparency and clarity.
However, he revealed that Azawi declined the offer. Despite her refusal, Kenzo remains optimistic, attributing the rift to possible misinformation.
“I think Azawi might be misinformed or is choosing to overlook the government’s positive actions,” he said, hinting that the disagreement may stem from differing viewpoints rather than personal issues.
Both Kenzo and Azawi are influential figures in Uganda’s music scene, and fans are hopeful the situation will be resolved amicably.
