Singer Dax Vibez has spoken out about the growing distance between himself and Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) president Eddy Kenzo, confirming that the two are no longer in contact.

According to Dax, the fallout isn’t rooted in personal conflict, but in a deep ideological divide.

In a recent interview, Dax voiced his discontent with Kenzo’s current direction particularly his perceived closeness with the ruling government and the UNMF’s lack of action on key industry issues.

“I’m not blaming the UNMF for what they’ve done, I’m blaming them for what they haven’t done. Because nothing is being done,Kenzo used to be my good friend, but our ideologies changed.”,,” he said, pointing to a broader dissatisfaction with the federation’s performance.

Despite their estrangement, Dax emphasized that he holds no personal grudge against Kenzo. In fact, he credited the Big Talent boss with playing a significant role early in his musical journey.

“He’s always supported me musically. I know he’s a fan, and he once told me he believed I’d become something special. He was one of the first artists to offer me a collaboration, though it was never released.” Dax Vibez recalled.

Ultimately, Dax Vibez attributes the breakdown of their relationship to a betrayal of shared principles.

“We used to talk about certain ideals, but now I see he’s gone against the very things he once taught me,” he said, underlining the philosophical rift that has replaced their former camaraderie.
