Following his departure from Team No Sleep (TNS), Ugandan artist Chozen Blood was involved in a heated altercation with his former manager Jeff Kiwa in October 2018.
The incident, which took place at Sky Lounge, marked the definitive end of their working relationship.
Chozen Blood initially joined TNS in an informal capacity after collaborating with Sheebah Karungi on the track Wadawa Ex. According to Chozen, there was never a formal agreement tying him to the label.
“I left the demo for Wadawa Ex at Nessim’s studio before traveling to the U.K., Jeff Kiwa heard it and liked it. He wanted to buy the song for Sheebah, but I suggested we make it a collaboration instead. When I returned, we recorded the song together, and it did well.”,he recalls.
That collaboration led to Chozen working more closely with the TNS camp. However, the arrangement remained unofficial.

“We operated purely on verbal agreements. Nothing was ever put in writing,It was all street vibe lots of promises but poor execution. After two years, I realized my career lacked direction, so I chose to walk away. Jeff didn’t take it well.”,he explains.
The informal nature of their partnership ultimately led to tensions when Chozen decided to leave. These tensions culminated in a bar fight that severed their ties completely.
“We ran into each other at Sky Lounge. We were both drunk. Apparently, some of the guys I was with were flashing middle fingers at Jeff. He took offense, and a fight broke out. He was eventually thrown out of the bar.”,he recounts.

Despite the fallout, Chozen says he still holds a degree of respect for Jeff Kiwa, even though they no longer communicate.
