It was a big night for Ugandan crooner, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine as he clinched top award at 2024 Cinema For Peace Awards held on Monday night in Berlin , Germany.
Bobi Wine’s documentary “Bobi Wine : The People’s President” won the award for the best Political Film of the year.
Cinema For Peace is a foundation that aims at promoting peace and humanity through cinematic arts.
Since it’s establishment in 2002, the awards have recognized exceptional filmmakers and celebrated films that address humanitarian and environment issues.
This year’s ceremony number of filmmakers were honored with awards including Uganda’s Singer turned Politician who walked away with Dove for the political Film of the year.
To celebrate the achievement, Bobi Wine shared the excited news with his fans and followers via his Socials as he dedicated the award to all Ugandans out there striving for a better Uganda.
“Last night, our documentary film (Bobi Wine-The People’s President) won the award for best political film of the year in the Cinema for Peace Awards 2024, in Berlin-Germany.

The documentary describes Bobi Wine as a Politician who using his music to Fight the regime led by Yoweri Museveni.
