Ugandan singer Mayanja Ibrahim, popularly known as Big Eye Starboss, has been arrested by security forces in Kawempe.
He is currently being held at Kawempe Police Station, though the specific charges against him have not yet been disclosed.
Big Eye Starboss was detained alongside his driver and fellow musician Moses Wyza, who was reportedly filming the arrest at the time.

The arrest took place on Thursday, March 13, 2025, during the Kawempe North MP by-election.
As a well-known supporter of the National Unity Platform (NUP), Big Eye was allegedly seen near a secure area where ballot boxes were being stored. Authorities quickly took him into custody, along with his companions were they spent overnight untill today.
A post on Big Eye’s official Facebook page reads: “Despite all efforts to free him from Junta’s grip, Big Eye Starboss is spending the night in the cells. Let’s continue to demand his freedom. Freedom delayed is freedom denied.”
The arrest of Moses Wyza has sparked particular concern, as reports indicate he was simply recording the incident on his phone.
While the exact charges against the trio remain unclear, the event has sparked significant discussion among NUP supporters and across social media platforms.
