Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament, Hon. Betty Nambooze, is mourning the heartbreaking loss of her father, Mzee Peter Kayongo Ssettuba, who passed away on Friday evening.
Hon. Nambooze shared the tragic news on her official X (formerly Twitter) account, expressing her deep grief and asking for prayers during this difficult time.
“With deep sorrow, I announce the death of my father, Mzee Peter Kayongo Ssettuba 🕊️. May the good Lord receive you with open arms. Please hold us in your thoughts and prayers 🙏,” she posted.
According to reports, Mzee Kayongo passed away at Rubaga Hospital in Kampala, where he had been receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, his condition continued to deteriorate.
As of now, Hon. Nambooze has not released details regarding the burial arrangements. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
