Gagamel International Crew boss, Bebe Cool has set a hefty price tag for any promoter interested in organizing a music battle between him and fellow Ugandan music legend Jose Chameleone.
Bebe Cool made it clear that the potential showdown would not be driven by personal rivalries or grudges but would purely be a business venture aimed at providing entertainment and generating significant value.
He shared this perspective during an appearance on Galaxy FM’s Evening Rush Reloaded with DJ Nirmod.
According to Bebe Cool, the battle would be a landmark event for both the Ugandan and African music scenes, with the potential to attract international attention. He believes the scale of the event justifies a large budget, with major global networks like MTV expected to cover the spectacle.
“The truth is, the battle between me and Jose Chameleone is all about money, and it can never go below USD 1 million. This isn’t just any battle—it’s an African spectacle. Even MTV has to be there to film it. You’re talking about two artists who have made huge contributions to the industry, benefiting millions of young people today.”,Bebe Cool explained.
Bebe Cool also made it clear that he would not entertain lower offers, stressing that an event of this magnitude demands serious investment.
“You can’t come to me with UGX 100 million. Are you out of your mind?” he added.
