Bebe Cool: “I’ll Invest in Allan Hendrix’s Music Career, If He Embraces Trending Music”

Celebrated Ugandan artist Moses Ssali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, has shed light on why he hasn’t fully invested in the music career of his eldest son, Allan Hendrix Ssali, also known as Paper Daddy.

Speaking candidly, the Gagamel boss revealed that although he has provided Allan with the tools and mentorship to pursue music, his full support is contingent on Allan’s willingness to align with current music trends.

While Bebe Cool is known for his success in Afrobeat, dancehall, and pop, Allan has leaned more toward reggae an artistic direction that differs from his father’s. This divergence, Bebe admits, has contributed to his decision to take a step back.

“If he agrees to do the trending music, I’ll invest in him.All the producers know I’ve supported him I gave him a studio and advised him but you can’t easily tell an artist what to sing.”,Bebe Cool said.

Despite the difference in style, Bebe made it clear that he respects Allan’s creative independence. However, he emphasized the importance of self-drive in the music industry.

“I’m not supposed to create a career for him. He’s supposed to build it himself. I’ll step in to support once I see he’s already on that journey. I don’t believe in spoon-feeding,” he added.

Bebe Cool, a father of six, remains hopeful but firm about what it takes to succeed in today’s fast-paced music scene.
