Alien Skin Faces Backlash After Concert Disappoints

Alien Skin’s much-anticipated concert at the Lugogo Cricket Oval has taken a significant hit, marking a rare setback for the rising star.

The “Party” hitmaker, who has been dominating Uganda’s music scene since his debut two years ago, has typically delivered unforgettable performances. His presence at any event is seen as a surefire way to get the crowd moving. However, his third concert didn’t live up to the hype.

Mulwana Patrick, also known as Alien Skin, faced an uncomfortable night after his performance at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala fell far short of expectations.

Sources at the concert reported that by 10 PM, only a few attendees were seen in both the VIP and general sections, a stark contrast to the usual packed-out venues for his shows.

The concert faced a number of challenges leading up to the event. With less than two weeks of preparation, the organizers were forced to change venues at the last minute.

Initially, the concert was scheduled to take place at Hotel Africana, but after management pulled out, the event had to be relocated to the Lugogo Cricket Oval with just one week to promote it.

Despite the challenges, the show proceeded, though the turnout was notably lower than anticipated for an event of such magnitude. Some critics have pointed to the rushed advertising as a key factor in the poor attendance.

However, Nobat Events, the concert organizers, remain hopeful, claiming they were able to exceed expectations despite the tight time frame.
