For nearly a month, comedy Store UG boss Alex Muhangi and singer Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool have been locked in a heated dispute.
The conflict began when Bebe Cool refused to perform at a Comedy Store event, claiming Muhangi had not paid him the full agreed-upon amount.
This led to a war of words, with Bebe Cool even threatening legal action against Muhangi for copyright infringement.

The singer accuses Muhangi of profiting from his music by uploading videos of his performances to YouTube. However, despite Bebe Cool’s willingness to resolve the matter outside of court, Muhangi remains firm and he refused to apologize.
According to Muhangi, as the event organizer, he was Bebe Cool’s employer for that performance. Since the singer declined to perform, he sees no reason to offer an apology.
“I was the client; he was booked for my event. I will never apologize to Bebe Cool. He needs to stop dragging this issue everywhere,” Muhangi stated in a TikTok video.

He further dismissed Bebe Cool’s claims, saying the videos posted on his YouTube channel are solely for promotional purposes, not for financial gain.
“When we hire an artist, we record both video and audio. That content belongs to us, and we are free to use it as we wish. Any content featuring Bebe Cool or any other artist on our platforms is purely for promotion—we don’t make any money from it,” Alex Muhangi explained.
We shall keep you posted here for more details about the case.
