Comedian and Comedy Store Uganda boss Alex Muhangi has accused Zuena Kirema of failing to clear a drink bill after her husband, singer Bebe Cool, failed to perform at the event.
The controversy stems from an ongoing legal battle between Bebe Cool and Alex Muhangi, where the singer sued Muhangi for copyright and neighboring rights infringement over his performance content at the Comedy Store.
During the first court hearing, both parties were advised to resolve their differences out of court within two weeks. However, Bebe Cool rejected the suggestion and opted to proceed with the case.

In today’s court session, Alex Muhangi’s lawyer claimed that on the night Bebe Cool was set to perform, Zuena and her friends ordered drinks worth UGX 960,000 but left without paying.
Additionally, Bebe Cool allegedly received UGX 1 million from Alex Muhangi as payment for his performance. However, he did not refund the money despite not showing up, later justifying it by claiming he used it for fuel expenses. The situation reportedly escalated, resulting in property damage.

The lawyer also accused Bebe Cool of using Muhangi’s contribution in his song Wakayima without offering compensation.
Muhangi’s legal team now plans to file further cases against Bebe Cool, with the next court hearing scheduled for March 10, 2025.
