Swangz Avenue has confirmed that award-winning singer and songwriter Azawi has signed a new multi-album contract, extending one of Uganda’s most successful music partnerships.
Azawi, who joined the label in 2019, has grown into one of East Africa’s top music powerhouses thanks to her unique sound, sharp songwriting, and standout performances.
Under Swangz, she delivered major projects including her breakout Lo Fit EP, the game-changing African Music album, and hit singles like Slow Dancing, Majje, Ten Over Ten, Fwa Fwa Fwa, and more.
She has also rocked big stages like her unforgettable 2022 African Music Concert at Lugogo and secured major brand endorsements with AquaFina, Guinness, and several others.
Speaking after signing the new deal, Azawi said she is stepping into “a new version” of herself creatively and is excited for what’s next.
Swangz Avenue CEO Julius Kyazze praised her as “an authentic and innovative artist” and promised to push her even further onto the global stage.
With this new contract, fans can expect fresh sounds, bigger projects, and Azawi’s most ambitious musical phase yet.
